Free Pattern: Sea Glass Cowl

I have had this cotton rayon blend yarn in my stash forever and it's my favorite colors, so I designed a summer infinity scarf to use up this fab ball of yarn.  You can use any cotton blend yarn you may have on hand.  The cowl is long enough to wrap it twice around or you can wear it long.

This is the second one I made with left over Hempathy.

New Pattern: the Convertible Cowl

Here it is my second pattern! The Convertible Cowl is not only a cowl, but can be worn as a scarf. It's easy and fast to knit. It takes about 300 yard of a bulky wool or wool blend.

It's super cozy when worn as a cowl, because of the length you must wrap it twice around your neck to keep you toasty warm in the cold bitter wind. Beginner knitters will love how easy the stitch pattern is and experts will love the speed at which this item knits up.

Pattern is emailed as a pdf with in 24 hours of payment.
Check out my Etsy shop BlueBettyShop for other items and my other pattern the Coffee House Cowl.

Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek at the new scarf pattern that will be listed in my etsy shop on Monday October 19th.

I had a ton of fun coming up with this idea and can't wait to share more with everyone.

This pattern is super fast and relatively easy. It's knit in a bulky wool so it's warm and fast.

Coffee House Cowl Sneak Peek

Here it is a sneak peek at the cowl I designed. I loved working on this pattern. It's simple and quick to knit. It takes one ball of Ella Rae's Latte which is 30% Alpaca, 30% Milkweed protein, and 40% microfiber. The yarn is fluffy like a cloud and super soft, perfect for a garment worn close to the skin. The color shown is chalk, this yarn also has a nice sheen to it and is a single ply, perfect for showing off stitches.

There is a basic lace stitch in the construction of the cowl, but it is great for a beginner who is ready to move on to something more than scarfs.

I want to make one in every color!

The Coffee House Cowl will be in my shop on Wednesday the 7th!

Monday Madness

I went out for what I thought would be a nice brunch with a friend, but ended up going to Norristown and back on the search for a prop pistol for a show a friend is working on. It was an interesting trip. Once we got to the town we had trouble finding the street. The directions sent us down Chain St to connect with Washington St., but come to find out that chain st was a dead end. We did end up finding Washington only to find out that it ends at a certain point and that the place we were looking for was really on aconnecting street just off of Washington.

This crazy adventure wasn't too crazy, but did make for a fun ride around eastern PA. I though I would spend the day mostly in the apartment designing some knit items, but I just returned home.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to take some pics of the new Cowl I made. I wrote the pattern up, it's simple and I made add an A and B version to the pattern, but it knit up fast and would make a great gift for a birthday or for christmas. It will also be a great pattern for a small amount of luxury yarn as it only takes about 98 yards to knit up.
