Vintage Finds: Rain Rain
Although we haven't had too much rain yet this month I do expect our sunny days to get a bit cloudy this month. With that in mind I found some really awesome vintage rain gear so the weather won't put a damper on your day.

New Banner
I made a new banner for my etsy shop today and I think it might be my best one yet. Go check it out if you get a chance. It's raining here and All I plan on doing is curling up on the couch and knitting, and maybe drinking some tea and defiantly watch some Pride & Prejudice.
The evenings here are starting to feel a bit cooler and you can smell fall in the air. I am hoping this fall actually feels like fall. The past year fall has been just as warm as the summer to only plummet us in to the freezing depth of winter come December and we really had no spring here in Philly one day it was cold and the next was a heat wave were one was worried that the humidity would suffocate you.
This weather gets me geared up for fall and I'm contemplating new project for the cooler months along with new patterns, but I love to revisit my previous patterns. One of my favorite is the Fall of the Leaf Fingerless Mitts, I may have to make a pair in red or maybe orange.
What does the fall hold in store for you?

Update
The weather is icky out, cold and rainy, and I have to be at work early today so unfortunately there will only be a small post. No plans today except for work, and yesterday I had an unexpected day off. I took this as a sign that I was suppose to use Tuesday to work on my design and sew a pair of shorts that I can wear for softball. All of these things happened and I had an interesting time with the shorts, but I will save that for next time. Another thing I will be talking about is my cotton sweater, both sleeves are complete and I picked up stitches for the neckline last night and even knit a few rows.
I promise a better post tomorrow and Friday, especially after being a slacker for two days.

Rain Rain
Today is a wet, cold miserable day. Not only did I lose my umbrella but my favorite boots have worn through the soles. Glad to be home, going to knit and make home made pizza with the hubby.
P.S. Expect a new pattern in my etsy shop on Tuesday the 19th!

Rainy
I must admit that I just rolled out of bed. I don't feel too bad about this as it is rainy and cold outside and my bed was dry and warm. That and I don't have to be anywhere till 5pm today. I think it will be a finish up my projects day and watch movies till 4pm when I will finally get dressed and go to work for three hours.
I like this plan even though I just started working at my day job on Tuesday, and feel that I should be slightly more motivated than I am right now. But I have tons of yarn in my apartment that wants to be knit, and i just got new fabric for curtains that i promised Simon I would make last year. I have plenty to do, as well as finish writing up my splish splash pattern for my etsy shop.

Update
Surfing was awesome yesterday. The weather was beautiful and the water was a bit warmer than last time (I still wore my wet suit). I got some great shots of Simon surfing, but he did not get any real good ones of me. He says he just needs practice.
It rained in Philly something fierce this morning at 7:30, thunder, lighting, rain, everything. The park across the street looks like a lake. If its ucky out today it might be a bit slow at work today. Oh well I have lots of things I need to do there anyway.
Tomorrow I have most of my day off so I'm hoping to get a lot of stuff around the apartment done, such as clean, sort through all the clothes don't wear, and hopefully sew somethings!
I leave for camp in 10 days!

Still Rainning
It has been the most rainy April I remember in a long time. Not only is it rainy but its cold. Everything is wet, the apartment feels damp although its not, and there is a hole in my rain boot.
Other than that things are wonderous. I've been sewing and working on a few one of a kind pieces for Blue Betty. I've had time to myself which is nice since my scheadule has been packed. Hopfully I will be jumping back on the blog more often now that I have time to sit and breath and that means type!
Here's one of the "One of a Kind Items" soon to be listed.
I love this bag, it is now my new Etsy avatar. It's made from a upcucled t-shirt I bought at the local thrift store. It's extra roomy and lined with fun fabric.
I've also been dyeing roving lately, I will have pictures of that soon. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some good pics as the rain is suppose to stop and the sun is said to come out.

Icky Rain
It's been icky here in Philly for what seems like forever. Ok, maybe it's only been two days, buit it feels like a week. All I want to do is curl up on my couch watch dirty dancing and knit and drink a yummy cop of tea. I think that is how I will spend my evening tonight.
Hope there are better days to come
