Things seemed to be going as planed with my spring items. I have my tote bags all finished and I've started my bamboo tams, and soon I will be knitting banana silk scarves. Soon I will be ordering buttons and mini cards and hopefully do a small amount of screen printing. Just maybe on the screen printing, as I may save that till the fall.
With this all said I will be ready to release and list my new items on March 27th.

Hats!
Here are my hat designs for my spring/summer line. I only have two of the three colors , as I changed my mind recently on the third color.
I'm keeping the blue one for myself, but I did order more of this color yarn.
The hat is knit up in Fish Tail Lace, which is of course my favorite. It's a bit slouchy, but not giant. I like the look of a tam, except when it hangs down longer than my hair.

The third color was this organgy red, but I'm swiching it to a more berry color. The orange didn't seem to fit in as well as I had hoped.
Today is a day off for me, so Simon is taking me to buy my Sewing machine! I'm super excited.

Working Etsy Style
I have been doing a lot for my etsy shop today. I signed up for Twitter, which I think I will become very addicted to. You can fallow me here. I also started to get an account for a newslwtter started. More on that later.
The most exciting thing today is I got my Bamboo samples today! When I came home from work there was a small priority mail box waiting for me with yummy yarn inside. I started working on my bamboo hats right away.
I feel like things are starting to move forward

December's Aftermath
I'm so tired. I felt like I ran a marathon yesterday.
Today I slept in and I did get to go to the yarn shop in the town over from mine. I bought some more teal silk and some yellow and orange wool for a scarf. I've been trying to break out of my blue green circle, but I love that color family so much. I though a bright rock melon orange would look nice and go with most of my teal items in my closet.
I'd love to post some pics of my new yarn or even a gift or two that I got, but sadly that will have to wait till I am back in my apartment in the city of brotherly love. I also got two proto-types finished for Blue Betty's spring line. It's a lace mesh scarf knit up in banana silk, and I ordered samples of the bamboo I want to use in the colors I'm interested in. Over all I felt that I've been decently productive this month, but I need to get my butt in gear. I want all my proto-types done in January. Time to get my butt in gear.
Not to spread myself too thin I also got a lighting design gig for a production of one acts in Febuary. I figured that the small chunk of change that i make doing that i can split between my savings and Blue Betty and order supplise for the spring line.
Tomorrow Simon and I are on the road to Philly. I'm working all week Sunday to Sunday, at least my pay check will look nice this week.

Fish Tails and Jasmine

I Just finished this hat. I love this lace pattern and this yarn, it looks beautiful all knit up with the eyelets. The lace pattern is fish tail lace and the yarn is Louisa Hardings Jasmine, which has been sitting in my stash for months and I still have more. This yarn is 48% cotton, 39% bamboo, 10% silk, and 3% polyester , which is the silver metalic that runs through this yarn. These pictures really do n't do this hat justice, but I couldn't wait to post it.
It's so yummy to work with and comes in many colors, the one i used is duck egg and I love it! I can't wait to wear it and I may consider making a few for my Etsy.
And that is a plate that the hat is blocking on. It's perfect for blocking tams.
