Stitch Guide: Fish Tail Lace

Fish tail lace is probably my favorite lace stitch of all times.  It is only a six row repeat.  Three of those six rows are all purls or all knits depending on if your working flat or in the round.  The pattern requires a multiple of eight stitches.  What is there not to love about this stitch patter.  Oh, ok it's not reversible, but other than than this is a great simple lace stitch that has a ton of impact.

Harmony Lace

Here it is! My lace is growing! I took this pic yesterday afternoon, It's a bout an inch and a half larger since then. I just started the actual lace part of the knitting and it's moving really fast. I'm amazed because the last lace project i did with tiny yarn and tiny needles took FOREVER. This one is moveing right along and the yarn is so fun i never know what color is next. Of course the lace patern I chose was fish tail lace and i have two repeate of it all ready.

As crazy as this project is i'm really enjoying it. I love the way it is turning out.

Fish Tails and Jasmine

I Just finished this hat. I love this lace pattern and this yarn, it looks beautiful all knit up with the eyelets. The lace pattern is fish tail lace and the yarn is Louisa Hardings Jasmine, which has been sitting in my stash for months and I still have more. This yarn is 48% cotton, 39% bamboo, 10% silk, and 3% polyester , which is the silver metalic that runs through this yarn. These pictures really do n't do this hat justice, but I couldn't wait to post it.

It's so yummy to work with and comes in many colors, the one i used is duck egg and I love it! I can't wait to wear it and I may consider making a few for my Etsy.

And that is a plate that the hat is blocking on. It's perfect for blocking tams.
